Story of MessMaster App, My Pocket Money Machine

Hai guys this is my first blog post on my personal blog. My entire online journey started back in 2012 as a blogger. That was technology blog, wasn't that successful. But through that experience I learned possibilities of the virtual world.
In this post I will take you through the story of MessMaster App, My pocket money machine.
For those don’t know what MessMaster is
MessMaster is completely automated Android app and Website project, which take cares all requests, billing, and accounting of Student Mess/ Canteen. It’s there in Play Store. It’s not open to all. For now only in my college, Cochin University of Science and Technology.

The Start

It’s all started in end of 2015. There is a real money problem behind starting of MessMaster. At the starting of every semester I used to get 24000 rupees as my education loan food and accommodation expense. As usual on that November I got 24000 in hand. I and my friends had planned for a Manali trip in December vacation. That money was more than enough for the trip and I went. Trip was awesome enjoyed lot. Story begins just after that. My purse was almost blank and I had one full semester to manage. At that time I was learning little Android development for my Dream project. With very little knowledge I had, I decided to make an App that could earn me some money.

The Idea

I didn’t have to search long time, One day MessMaster came to mind. I knew how much effort Nadeem (My friend and Mess Secretary at that time) takes to handle accounting of our mess. The very next day we had a discussion on the possibility of digitalization of our mess. And I started building my own app without knowing anything.
Since I was a blogger, my knowledge in Google searching helped a lot to find useful resources. I just got surprised after seeing the result, because a dumb Safety Engineer who had back paper in computer programming made an application with in two weeks.
Awesome na… That’s the power of Google, everything is there. We only need to use it properly.

The Money Making

Since MessMaster could make Mess Management easy, I didn’t have to use any marketing techniques. As the subscription charge I started getting 2000 rupees from my hostel. That was enough to handle my food expense. One after another I got 3 more hostels and still expanding.
The money I am making might not be that big, but that is more than enough to handle all my food, hostel expense plus movie and outing.
Kind of auto-pilot way of money making for last one year……
Opportunities are there, may be just a walk away. Knock the door and get it.  Creating a job yourself is far better seeking for a job, that’s where you become an entrepreneur.
